KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Extensive knowledge of NC Public School regulations/audits highly desirable.
- CPA highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting procedures and software required.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Bachelors Degree in accounting or business related field required.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months
SALARY: State salary schedule, Exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises accounting of 42 individual schools/sites.
- Develops and implements internal audit program.
- Monitors internal control compliance.
- Assists in coordination of annual independent audit.
- Provides training to school treasurers.
- Maintains school treasurers’ operations manual.
- Compiles reports.
