Ontario Christian is hiring an Athletic Director. Reporting to our Superintendent the Athletic Director provides vision, leadership, and oversight to the K-12th athletic program. This role strives to develop a high achieving athletic program that places an emphasis on faith development and sport expertise in each student athlete. The Athletic Director will own the following areas:
- Athletic budget
- Hiring leading and evaluation of coaches
- Athletic policies and procedures
- Admissions support for student athletes
- Implementation of the school's mission and vision throughout athletics
- Liaison between the athletic department and the school community
- Development of athletes, spiritually, mentally and physically
Requirements for this role are as follows.
Experience
- We are looking for a dynamic Athletic Director that can provide leadership to teams at all levels. This role supports a student body population of approximately 1,500.
- 3 years as an Athletic Director or other related leadership capacity in a school setting. role.
- 5 years coaching and/or playing experience.
- Experience supporting nationally recognized sports teams is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in physical education, education administration, sports management or related degree.
- Related education in the Christian Faith.
