Job Title: Math Teacher (Full-Time) – 2024-2025 School Year

Location: OnTECH Charter High School, Central New York
Job Description: OnTECH Charter High School is seeking a passionate Math Teacher to lead instruction in the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following subjects: Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Applied Math, and Financial Literacy. As part of the OnTECH teaching team, you'll collaborate with fellow educators to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for nontraditional learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in Math subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Applied Math, and Financial Literacy.
- Incorporate real-world projects and social-emotional support into lesson plans.
- Engage students through a project-based learning (PBL) approach.
- Develop curriculum that connects students with local industries such as agriculture, environmental science, and renewable energy.
Job Requirements:
- NYS Teaching Certification in Math grades 9-12 preferred.
- Willingness to obtain NYS certification if certified in another state.
- Experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL) and nontraditional education is a plus.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
