Job Title: Production Planner
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (MUST be flexible in working outside of the normal shift due to company demands and needs)

Job Purpose
The Production Planner is responsible for balancing demand and supply to ensure optimal inventory levels, maximizing service levels, and minimizing backorders and obsolescence.
Scope of the Job
As a Production Planner you are responsible for the planning of finished goods to ensure the OTIF (on-time & in-full) delivery to Ontex customers, while keeping the inventory levels in line with the S&OP (Sales & Operations Plan).
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the production plan to ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery to customers, aligning with the Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP).
- Reflect tactical decisions in the operational plan.
- Define the production plan based on demand forecasts, manufacturing constraints, raw material availability, and inventory targets within SAP.
- Review and adjust schedules according to incoming sales orders to match customer requirements with availability dates.
- Monitor production progress and make necessary adjustments to meet sales schedules.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Purchasing, Production, and other departments to ensure raw materials are available to meet production schedules.
- Actively participate in daily planning and weekly master planning meetings.
- Work with stakeholders (demand planning, key account management, raw material planning, product management, manufacturing) to resolve supply and demand imbalances.
- Manage phase-in/phase-out processes to minimize obsolete stock.
- Maintain master data required for operational planning.
- Maximize service levels while adhering to inventory parameters.
- Minimize obsolete stock levels and find alternative channels to reduce excess inventory.
- Contribute to quarterly lot size calculations.
- Perform ad hoc analyses to support decision-making.
- Achieve target service levels (OTIF).
- Maintain inventory levels in line with targets.
- Ensure that we maintain good standing with customers while simultaneously providing a stable production schedule.
Job Complexity and Challenges
- Maximize service levels despite forecast inaccuracies.
- Maintain stock levels within inventory parameters on production lines with fluctuating output.
- Ensure smooth product introductions and terminations with long lead times and changing forecasts.
- Keep production plans stable to avoid raw material shortages.
Technical and Prior Work Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience (5 years).
- First experience in supply chain and production planning.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP/MRP/SAP systems.
- Strong understanding of business processes within an international company.
- Numeric and analytical mindset with a systematic approach.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and focus on solutions.

- Work with peers, manufacturing team, demand managers, key account managers, raw material planners, product managers, packaging specialists, transport planning, customer service, and the Supply Chain manager.
