Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Bristol County, RI. This full-time, in-person role starts in early February and runs through the remainder of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language services.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in group and one-on-one settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs in academic and social settings.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to parents and school teams.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff professional development sessions as required.
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support speech and language development in students.
Requirements:
- Active Rhode Island SLP license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is a plus.
