Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive QA Lead to join our PC Depot team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in imaging, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) processes, and the end-to-end workflow of building laptops and desktops. The QA Lead will also play a crucial role in identifying areas for process improvement, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Assurance and Process Oversight:
Lead the QA process for imaging, SCCM deployment, and hardware configuration workflows.
Ensure quality control standards are maintained across all PC/laptop builds and configurations.
2. Imaging and SCCM Process Expertise:
Manage and maintain SCCM infrastructure for imaging and deployment processes.
Design and implement robust imaging workflows to streamline laptop/desktop builds.
Troubleshoot imaging issues and optimize configurations for various hardware models.
3. Process Improvement:
Analyze existing workflows for laptop/desktop building and imaging processes.
Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Develop and document new procedures to ensure consistency and repeatability.
4. Team Leadership:
Lead a team of QA analysts and technicians in achieving project goals.
Provide training and mentorship on QA standards and best practices.
5. Collaboration and Reporting:
Work closely with IT, procurement, and end-user teams to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Generate reports on QA metrics, imaging success rates, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Proficient in SCCM for imaging, deployment, and application packaging.
Strong understanding of laptop/desktop imaging processes and related tools.
Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting.
Experience:
5 years in a QA lead or similar role in IT operations, with hands-on experience in imaging and SCCM.
Proven track record of implementing process improvements in hardware configuration workflows.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Effective communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automation in deployment processes.
Familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
