Essential Job Functions
- Develop and implement processes for evaluating, selecting, and onboarding subcontractors.
- Negotiate contracts and establish clear performance expectations.
- Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to maintain workplace safety and legal standards.
- Foster long-term partnerships with subcontractors to ensure reliable and consistent project delivery.
- Address and resolve disputes or conflicts between subcontractors and project teams.
- Oversee subcontractor budgets, manage costs, and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Develop strategies to scale subcontractor operations as ONX Homes expands.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to implement innovative subcontractor management practices.
- Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and leadership to align subcontractor activities with company goals.
- Use technology to streamline subcontractor scheduling, communication, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in subcontractor management or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven leadership and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with construction management software is a plus.
