Job Summary:
One of our customers on the Oomple platform is seeking dedicated and compassionate Psychologists for long-term contracts within correctional facilities in the Delano area. This role is pivotal in providing mental health services to incarcerated individuals, aiding in their rehabilitation and well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of inmates to determine mental health status, risk factors, and treatment needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions addressing various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and anger management.
- Collaborate with correctional facility staff, including correctional officers, medical professionals, and social workers, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for inmates.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss inmate cases and coordinate care.
- Provide consultation to correctional staff regarding inmates' mental health concerns and behavioral management strategies.
- Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records of all psychological services provided to inmates.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in correctional psychology to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care services.
