Essential Functions
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

- Export billing data from Boss software and produce accurate, detailed, monthly invoices to our clients.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due from clients by sending reminders and contacting clients when payment has not been received by date due.
- Resolve discrepancies and client billing issues; perform write-offs when approved.
- Manage vendor maintenance in Great Plains, ensuring vendor information is up-to-date and accurately recorded.
- Oversee food licenses for food service operations in school districts, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Provide support for accounts payable if needed, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare expense allocations for month-end close, as assigned.
- Maintain focus on continuous improvement and solutions by recommending process improvements to senior management.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education: Associate degree or equivalent work experience in an accounting role
Experience
- One to three years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and recognize errors
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and experience with creating and manipulating spreadsheets
- Effective follow-up and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills.
- Strong ability to integrate and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with all levels of the organization. Able to write business correspondence and memos.
- Understanding of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Experience with MS Office
- Basic understanding of accounting software and report builders; knowledge of Great Plains and Prophix is a plus.
- Must be able to appropriately handle confidential information.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, hear, kneel, and sit. Occasionally required to stoop, push, pull, feel, grasp, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must exert over 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or be able to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 35 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include concentrated attention, close vision, far vision, and ability to bring objects into sharp focus.
- Inside office working conditions.
- Minimal travel required.
- Annual Leadership Conference – Possible four days away from home
- Business Reviews – Attendance to one Business Review per school year, with a possible overnight stay depending on location.
