Position: Senior Revenue Manager
Reports to: Corporate Director of Sales, Marketing & Revenue Management
Location: Remote role with option to work in Raleigh, NC Office
What’s the job?
The Senior Revenue Manager is responsible for the oversight and optimization of revenue performance across a portfolio of Opal Hotels, primarily within the Marriott, Hilton, and IHG brand families. This position will play a strategic role in shaping, executing, and continuously evolving revenue management strategies, systems, and practices in furtherance with Opal commercial strategy goals, including maximizing gross operating profit by optimizing revenues and market share.
The Senior Revenue Manager partners closely with General Managers, Sales leaders, and the corporate office to ensure that revenue-driving activities align with Opal’s business goals. The role will focus on pricing, forecasting, inventory control, and channel mix optimization via data-driven decision-making.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Lead revenue management efforts across assigned portfolio of hotels with a focus on pricing, forecasting, and channel management with the aim of optimizing gross operating profit.
- Implement and manage revenue management systems (RMS), tools, and SOPs aligned with brand and Opal standards.
- Analyze historical, current, and future demand to forecast occupancy and revenues.
- Drive the execution of pricing strategies, including BAR rates, group and transient segmentation strategies.
- Lead and facilitate weekly revenue strategy calls with each hotel’s leadership team.
- Develop and maintain 30-60-90-day rolling forecast models for each hotel and align with operations and sales teams.
- Monitor and respond to benchmark performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team members to support demand generation initiatives that complement revenue strategies.
- Ensure effective inventory management strategies, rate parity, and distribution optimization across all channels.
- Provide training, tools, and mentorship to on-property teams to reinforce revenue management culture.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning for revenue components of each hotel's business plan.
- Ensure hotels are in compliance with brand revenue initiatives and Opal’s internal revenue standards.
- Support Corporate Director of Sales, Marketing & Revenue Management and Opal leadership with ad hoc reporting and strategic analysis as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive hotel revenue management experience.
- Multi-property revenue management experience.
- Proficiency with brand systems (Marriott One Yield, Hilton GRO, IHG N2Pricing, etc.) and revenue platforms such as Lighthouse, Kalibri, and STR.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable strategies.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and revenue analysis tools.
Specific Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and execution of each property’s revenue strategy.
- Track and publish daily, weekly, and monthly performance results versus forecast, budget, and prior year.
- Prepare and deliver monthly performance summaries to Corporate Director and stakeholders.
- Participate in system audits and ensure data integrity across PMS, CRS, RMS, and third-party platforms.
- Support in the analysis of RFPs and group business to ensure revenue optimization.
- Ensure proper use and training of RMS and reporting tools across supported hotels.
- Lead new hotel onboarding and ramp-up in coordination with operations and brand teams.

Performance Standards
Performance shall be measured by achievement of the:
- Gross Operating Profit per available room (GOPPAR) growth across assigned portfolio.
- Market share growth via STR index improvement (MPI, ARI, RGI).
- Accurate and timely revenue forecasts and budgets.
- Consistent execution of revenue calls and strategic deliverables.
- Brand compliance with Opal revenue management SOPs and tools.
