Initially, you’ll partner with our Engineering and Product teams to get product-market fit for our identity-based risk and remediation feature set. Over time, we expect this role to set the high standard for great design at Opal. You’ll work with other designers, writers, engineers, and product managers to up-level our product experience holistically. We see this role as a key hire for us — not just for the design chops, but also the culture and spirit that great designers bring to early organizations. Your Responsibilities
- Shape product strategy and direction through design leadership
- Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and design research peers
- Create, collaborate, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
- Drive continuous product improvements from concept to launch
- Conduct customer research and incorporate feedback into design solutions
- Work closely with our “Risk Center” team to build a top-down view of our customers’ most risky IAM configurations
- 8 years of UX design experience with a portfolio showcasing excellence in research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design
- Startup experience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proven track record of exceptional UX/UI work with strong communication skills to articulate design decisions
- History of building strong relationships with engineering and product teams
- Success in advocating for and implementing user-centered design approaches across organizations
- Experience designing complex data visualizations and enterprise workflows
- Experience working at a company with a premium design experience and culture of design excellence. We want you to lay those same foundations at Opal as we scale.
- Great at giving and receiving feedback as part of the design critique practice (and beyond).
- Distinctive ability to lead and inspire teams, communicate ideas, and advocate for design excellence.
- Skilled in creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
