Job Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
The Strategic Initiatives Coordinator will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of key programs and strategies aimed at improving student outcomes across the district. This role requires a dynamic leader who can collaborate with various stakeholders, including educators, administrators, parents, and community members, to ensure the effective execution of federal and state initiatives, English language support, and continuous improvement efforts in alignment with the district’s strategic vision. This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced administrator to lead innovative educational programs and initiatives that directly impact the success and growth of students.
Job Responsibilities:
- Federal Programs Management:
- Oversee the district’s compliance with federal programs, including Titles I-VI, the McKinney Vento Homeless program, foster care and other federal and state grants.
- Coordinate the preparation, submission, and reporting of federal grant applications and related documents.
- Ensure effective and equitable distribution of federal funds to support student achievement and close achievement gaps.
- Monitor and assess the implementation of federal programs, ensuring alignment with district goals and accountability requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with federal and state agencies for all related programs.
- English Language Learners (ELL) Coordination:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs supporting English Language Learners (ELL), ensuring access to high-quality language instruction.
- Provide guidance and professional development for teachers and staff on best practices in ELL instruction.
- Collaborate with instructional leaders to ensure ELL students meet academic standards and receive appropriate support services.
- Maintain district-level oversight of ELL student assessments, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Develop and implement plans for family engagement and communication to support ELL students.
- Continuous Improvement Planning:
- Lead the district’s continuous improvement process, working closely with school leaders, staff, and stakeholders to set academic and operational goals.
- Use data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic action plans that address achievement gaps, student outcomes, and program effectiveness.
- Monitor progress toward continuous improvement goals and provide ongoing support to schools in their implementation efforts.
- Coordinate the evaluation and refinement of district-wide initiatives to ensure alignment with improvement goals.
- Strategic Planning:
- Lead the development and execution of the district’s long-term strategic plan, in collaboration with district leadership and stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain systems for monitoring progress toward strategic goals, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation across all departments to align resources and initiatives with district priorities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for the school board, community groups, and external stakeholders regarding the district’s strategic plan and progress.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster strong relationships with district leadership, school staff, parents, and community members to ensure alignment and support for federal, ELL, continuous improvement, and strategic planning efforts.
- Facilitate regular communication with teachers, principals, and district departments to share best practices and ensure program effectiveness.
- Represent the district at local, state, and national meetings related to federal programs, English language instruction, and educational planning.
