What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Open Arms Preschool?
At Open Arms, we are committed to providing a warm, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. We believe in the importance of early childhood education and the positive impact it has on a child’s development. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team and help create a safe, supportive, and fun learning space for our toddlers.
- Create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment for toddlers.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Encourage positive interactions and support the development of social skills.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress, offering feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, following health and safety guidelines.
- Communicate with parents regularly about their child’s behavior, milestones, and needs.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a positive and harmonious learning environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred).
- Prior experience working with toddlers or in a childcare setting is a plus.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with parents, children, and staff.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).
