Job Title: Director of Finance
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Director of Finance to work side by side with our executive team. We are a non-profit on a very fast growth path, and need a a teammate to help steer the financial side. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and grant tracking. The Director of Finance will play a key role in ensuring the company's financial health and compliance with regulations.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise all accounting operations including Payroll, Technical accounting, Account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities to support business decisions
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee grant funding activities
- Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
- Supervise Accounts Payable employee and bookkeeping employee.
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar Accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Prior experience in nonprofit is preferred but not required
- Degree in accounting required.
