RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect information from patients, including insurance information, money for copays and contact information to put into eCW
- Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
- Responds to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner
- Provide patients with forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provider availability
- Process payments from patients for uninsured patients
- Check and verify patient insurance eligibility
- Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree or administrative certification preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- One year of excellent customer service skills and experience.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is a plus
- Flexible and solutions-driven
- Responsive and comfortable working in a fast-paced accountability environment with different types of providers.
- Passionate about providing high-quality care to low-income, under-served residents and those lacking access to health care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Engage in learning and continuous quality improvement
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, with a culturally diverse patient and staff population
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
