The department is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day functions of the homeless residential facilities that ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients and residents and collaborates with all departments to ensure physical resources are efficiently allocated. This includes overseeing facilities maintenance, food services, the clothing room, fleet management, and security operations.
General Summary
Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations and in collaboration with the Safety Committee, develops and implements security strategies and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures. While the Manager is not responsible for staff supervision the Manager is responsible for daily directions to 3rd party security personnel. The Manager is a highly visible individual providing emergency responses to client and staff, collaboration with first responders, and coordination of post-incident follow up. The ideal candidate leads with Compassion while implementing sound safety decisions.
Duties And Responsibilities
$50,000 - 65,000 annually, where the typical starting salary for a candidate with five years' experience is $53,750 - $57,500.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyzes and evaluates security operations to identify risks or opportunities through auditing, review or assessment
- Implement approved budget for security related supplies, equipment and/or technology; submit purchase requests for non-budget items or items in excess of $500.
- Review daily reports and incident response reports from 3rd vendor and compile relevant data necessary for risk prevention
- Coordinate security operations or activities with 3rd party vendors, public law enforcement, fire and other agencies
- Develop, implement and monitor active threat response and other protective activities to reduce risk

- Develop and manage investigation programs, including collection and preservation of video and notes of surveillance processes or investigative interviews
- Support VP of HR in implementing, managing, or evaluating policies to protect personnel against harassment, threats, or violence
- Strong commitment to the mission of "Changing Lives. Restoring Hope" for individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, and mental illness.
- Strong communication, interpersonal leadership, and problem-solving skills are crucial
- Keen observation and attention to detail to identify potential threats or risks
- Strong de-escalation and conflict resolution skills to resolve disputes peacefully and professionally
- Must be able to respond efficiently and quickly to emergencies
- Must have a clean driving record to be approved by insurance standards, which includes 4 years driving experience, check for DUI/DWI, history of a suspended license, and/or vehicular manslaughter
- Must possess an active NYS Security Guard License, required
- A minimum of four years' previous experience in physical security roles, ideally in a residential or behavioral health setting
- College course in criminal justice or social sciences, ideal
