What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Nursery Worker position at Open Doors?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Provider to join our team. As a Childcare Provider, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. Your role will involve providing age-appropriate activities, ensuring the well-being of the children, and promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to children in our facility
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate learning and development
- Create a safe and secure environment for children to explore and play
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to ensure a positive and respectful atmosphere
- Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Change diapers and assist with toilet training as needed
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
- Collaborate with other childcare providers to ensure smooth operations of the facility
Skills:
- Previous experience in caregiving, preschool, infant care, or nannying roles
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies
- Knowledge of first aid procedures for children
- Ability to engage children in educational activities that promote their development
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities

The schedule is as follows: Monday and Wednesday 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
