The Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to join our growing Events team. In this role, you will manage the development and planning of large live experiential events for major automotive clients. You’ll work side-by-side with our creative and account teams to dream up, plan and execute experiential events, dealer meetings, brand activations and launch events. You’ll also work closely with our Director of Events to ensure all company-wide standards for production quality, creativity, teamwork and budget management are met.
The Job:
- Serve as the lead on multiple live experiential events in a calendar year. Manage the pre-planning process then serve as on-site lead.
- Be client-facing including stand-ups, proactive outreach and on-going progress communication.
- Support Director of Events as “second in charge” on large-scale events as needed.
- Actively seek new event techniques and fresh creative to your craft. Be up to date on trends in our industry and actively present ideas to the team.
- Create production schedules, source deliverables, manage staff utilization, build budgets, manage change orders and complete flawless project reconciliations.
- Collaborate with account and creative teams to develop and implement engaging experiences that reflect the brand's vision.
- Become fully integrated in our clients’ business so that you can provide additional value through your understanding of their goals and how to bring them to life in a live environment.
- Source, hire and manage freelance production talent to support existing Czarnowski team, both locally and across the country.
The Person:
- 5-7 years of experience managing both large-scale live events and bespoke, exclusive activations
- A strong network of suppliers and freelance talent in all aspects of the live production community
- Passion for planning and deep understanding of experiential events industry
- Experience working with automotive clients a plus, but not mandatory
- Exceptional time-management and multitasking skills with the flexibility to reprioritize tasks quickly
- A calm demeanor, with the ability to lead different types of personalities
- The willingness to work long hours when necessary (especially on site), as well as occasional evenings and weekends
- An independent mindset, but with the willingness to support an existing company framework
- Ability to travel as necessary, up to 30%
