About the Role
OpenAI is on a mission to ensure that artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity. We’re seeking a seasoned Performance Marketing leader to spearhead our growth efforts and chart the course for how we acquire, engage, and delight users globally. As a foundational member of the team, you'll establish our digital marketing strategy and drive measurable growth across existing channels while validating and scaling new channels. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution skills, bringing deep B2C and B2B expertise to help us drive rapid growth in a fast-paced environment.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role, you will :
Design and implement a holistic performance marketing strategy - across paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing, content, SEO, influencer, affiliate, and more - to drive measurable growth and impact.
Experiment rapidly in new and existing channels, turning successful tests into scalable acquisition engines.
Develop and refine our attribution models, marketing tech stack, and automation processes to ensure we’re always optimizing for maximum impact.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design teams to maintain a seamless user experience that resonates with both consumer and business audiences.
Lead A / B testing initiatives that uncover insights, enhance conversions, and fuel revenue growth.encouraging teams to explore new ideas and quickly iterate on results.
You might thrive in this role if you :
Have 8 years of digital and performance marketing experience, ideally building and leading high-growth programs at both B2C and B2B software companies.
Thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy being both strategist and practitioner - rolling up your sleeves is second nature.
Bring a track record of successfully scaling multiple channels (paid search, social, content, mobile, SEO, affiliate, etc.) while keeping a close eye on ROI.
Turn data into actionable insights, using advanced testing and measurement techniques to continually raise the bar.
Excel at cross-functional collaboration, leveraging exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide teams toward ambitious goals.
