Position Overview
Mach9 is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Solutions Engineer to join our growing commercial team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving global adoption of the Mach9 Digital Surveyor, working alongside a world-class sales, product, and engineering organization.
As the technical expert, you will support technical sales efforts to enterprises in the geospatial industry, providing guidance throughout the sales process-from initial inquiry to onboarding and post-sale support. You will bridge the gap between customers and engineering teams, helping to integrate and transform their geospatial production workflows and building the fastest tools to make maps. While scaling our presence in the geospatial industry, you will help build the foundations for Solutions Engineering at Mach9.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Collaboration :
- Technical Leader : Become the subject matter authority on Mach9 products. Know the features of our annotation platform, what our AI feature extraction product does, and how this all interacts with typical customer needs and articulate the value added benefits to customers throughout the sales process.
- Technical Sales Support : Support sales and pre-sales functions (pre-sale by running technical product demonstrations, responding to advanced technical questions, writing technical proposals / responding to RFPs, conducting training, and integrating systems). Manage and support value assessments and proof of concept implementations.
- Solution Design : Work with engineering and customers to understand their technical environments and provide expert guidance on solution design, integration, and implementation strategies.
- Sales Enablement : Partner with the sales team to ensure they have the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to effectively sell the product. Develop sales enablement materials such as product demos, training sessions, and technical documentation that highlight product features and benefits.
- Post-Sales Support :
- Training & Onboarding : Drive technical onboarding implementation for Mach9's transformative solutions for the geospatial industry. Develop training and onboarding plans for accounts and contribute to documentation and training materials.
- Technical Documentation : Manage the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and develop processes to keep customers updated on Mach9's capabilities.
- Product Development Collaboration
- Customer-Driven Product Development : Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their pain points, and validate product delivery.
- Commercial-Engineering Alignment : Participate in commercial and engineering synchronization sessions led by Product Management to align technical capabilities with market demands and customer needs.
- Marketing Collaboration
- Content Collaboration : Collaborate with the marketing team to refine our technical narrative that highlights the capabilities and benefits of Mach9's products, such as white papers, case studies, webinars, and technical blogs.
- Industry Engagement : Represent Mach9 at industry conferences, trade shows, and webinars, presenting with customers.
