Position Overview:
Airpark Collision is looking to add a Collision Paint Prep Technician who is self-motivated and has high personal goals and objectives to our industry leading team. We are looking for a skilled Auto Body Paint Helper to work on vehicles in a fast-paced auto body shop environment. As a Collision Paint Helper you will assist the paint department and painters prep, clean, load, buff vehicles and parts needing painted. Airpark Collision uses industry leading production process that result in additional workflow for the technician allowing for greater opportunity to earn more money. Our goal is to promote from within allowing us to generate careers for our team members.
Position Duties:
Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair and status
Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind
Ability to spray is a plus
Performing work as outlined on repair orders
Performing prep, sanding, wiping, bagging, buffing as needed by the paint shop
Operating all equipment in the collision center in a safe and productive manner
Following Safety Standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) while working on the production floor
Inspecting all work performed as a Quality Control (QC) measure as soon as jobs are completed
Mixing all chemicals according to manufacturer directions/specifications

Qualifications/Experience:
Valid Driver's License
1 Year Collision paint prep experience a plus
Genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude, strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Safe working knowledge of paint tools and equipment
