What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Associate position at Openwork?
Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Shipping and Receiving Associate in Woodstock, GA. In this contract to hire role, you will be responsible for shipping tech equipment in a warehouse environment. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below.
In a Shipping and Receiving job you’ll be responsible for :
- Accurately pull orders utilizing handheld computers
- Scan correct serial numbers for equipment pulled to ship
- Pack orders using correct sized boxes and adequate packaging materials
- Assist the Inventory Specialist by moving products between stocking locations as requested
- Warehouse cleaning including sweeping floors, trash removal, pallet stacking, orderly appearance of stocking locations
- Assist with shipping and receiving when needed
- Accurately record serial numbers when shipping and receiving
- Pack orders with correct products without mis-sorting orders in shipping
- Assist with cleaning of bathrooms and vacuuming of office space in between cleaning days
- Assist or lead work projects in the warehouse as needed
- Operate forklift to pull pallets down and rotate stock throughout warehouse
- Receive inbound shipments including parcel, freight, postal, and courier and verify inbound shipments against PO / RMA orders / SVC orders
- Log tracking information and package contents on receiving log or handheld device reporting to Scan Force / Sage / Service Center
- Assist inventory lead with accurately packaging, labeling, and putting away goods in designated locations / bins following first in, first out procedure
- Process items to be repaired to / from the Repair Shop; capture all vital information including part numbers, serial numbers, customer information, and tagging equipment with corresponding tag; place equipment in totes on shelf, in preparation to be repaired, once repaired / refurbished equipment is returned to the finished rack, the equipment will be cleaned, labeled, and put in stock or prepared for shipping
- Match order information against sales orders with information on picked items to ensure conformity
- Ship out orders using UPS World Ship, Fed Ex online portal; verify addresses, method of shipping, and payment
- Correspond to Help Desk customers via email / Service Channel with shipment method, tracking, and RMA information
- Work with carriers on delivery / pickup times
