Position Summary:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the incoming and outgoing product in Operation Food Search’s distribution center. They will oversee a team of drivers and ensure that product is picked up from donors in a timely and professional manner. They will also work with Operations Team to track inventory and constantly monitor the quality of goods received and distributed through the partner agency network.
Essential Functions:
- Accountable for food banking distribution, receiving and maintenance operations within the OFS warehouse
- Ensure food safety guidelines are understood and followed by the warehouse team
- Support warehouse needs of other OFS programs (e.g. Volunteer events)
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and inspections, ensuring efficient and reliable operation
- Lead team of drivers responsible for delivery and pickup of donations, as required
- Direct warehouse operations and ensure a safe and efficient workplace
Education and/or Experience:
- 10 years of experience in warehouse operations
- 10 years of experience food banking experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience leading small teams
- Spirit and experience of a customer focused servant leader
Special Requirements:
- Occasional travel required for meetings, events, and conferences
- Flexibility in working hours for occasional special events after-hours or weekend activities
- Willingness to volunteer for other OFS duties that don’t fall under regular job duties
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
- Sedentary inside office work with limited exposure to weather conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
Salary : $52,500 - $65,700
