What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operation Manager position at Total Warehouse Solutions?
5am- 1:30pm Monday- Friday, weekends if necessary
As Operations Manager you will handle all driver check in’s, Pricing/Quoting loads, entering information into a computer database, assigning daily lumper assignments, processing payroll, completing daily reports, receiving payment from carriers/drivers, communicating with the on-site management team as well as with the corporate office. You will be responsible for the unloading of shipping containers and unloading of trailers for warehouse storage, as well as the proper breakdown and sort/segregation of received product. Responsibilities include accurately managing the separating of cases and placing them on pallets for all inbound freight. Ensure production code dates are visible, any damaged cases are given to onsite operation manager. You will be responsible for the accurate receipt, reporting, and handling of all checks and cash. You will be responsible for sending all cash and checks to the main office on a weekly basis with included week ending reports.

Job Duties:
Ensure the safe clean efficient operation of the warehouse to meet service standards.
Plan and coordinates work, train and motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of lumper and receiving associates; ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from trailers and containers; counsel, record and discipline as necessary.
Ensure proper labor coverage for daily workload, Communicate with Imperial operations to plan coverage for daily and weekly volume.
Provide direct supervision and training to all Total warehouse Solutions employees. This includes safety training, Unloading methods, time and attendance, & all disciplinary actions. Maintain all safety and attendance records
Ensure compliance with both internal external standard operating plans.
Assist in developing a program to train motivate personnel for increased effectiveness.
Responsible for the development as well as implementation of receiving work schedules and assignments to assure effective efficient operations
Make recommendations to the Operations Manager on programs to improve receiving operations.
Interact with customer on a daily basis and attends regular customer meetings.
Direct the operations of the receiving personnel to achieve prescribed objectives
Develop a productive staff by creating programs for hiring, training, and professional development.
Develop daily plan for allocating equipment to jobs.
Responsible for the management of equipment and proper safety training.
Maintain a professional courteous relationship with customers.
Supervise all inbound shipments to make sure they are correct carried out in a timely fashion.
Drive cost improvement activities by identifying system improvements, headcount optimization, and improved square footage utilization opportunities.
Develop and execute strategy to efficiently support special projects as well as new service offerings.
Engage with senior management in Warehouse Operations, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Customer Service.
Salary : $53,000 - $60,000
