ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical service, and research. PAR’s Medication Assisted Patient Services (MAPS) Program provides quality out-patient opioid maintenance therapy to individuals suffering from the effects of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for improving the competency of direct service staff and providing structured processes for them to learn and develop clinical skills. Provides opportunities for clinical staff to explore clinical practices, build theories, and examine how they may act in their professional roles. Develops a framework for evaluating clinical skills, abilities, and knowledge. Supervises and assists clinical staff in performing substance abuse and mental health counseling work on both an individual patient basis and in a group setting. Responsible for providing clinical services to patients as needed and documenting in accordance with company standards. To develop a framework for evaluating counselor skills, abilities and knowledge and to monitor the quality of professional services offered to the clients. Facilitates improvements for client outcomes and services at all levels and responsible to develop a pool of promotable counselors/prevention specialists. Provides supervision and guidance for Recovery Peer Specialists with a focus on developing their skills in advocacy, mentoring, recovery support, and professional responsibility.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Masters Degree in counseling or related field with a CAP or license required (not applicable to prevention programs)
- Five (5) years of experience in addictions or mental health field.
LICENSES, CERTIFCATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS:
- CAP or License (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) – for prevention programs CPP
- Must remain in compliance with provided DoH, CPR, and First Aid trainings
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to write accurately and legibly
- Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computers
- Ability to accurately type at least 40 words per minute.
- Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop and reach and to lift and carry 10 pounds
- Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
- Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoor
- Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds
