ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION :
Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and / or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Complete work orders in timely manner, maintenance of buildings, and all related equipment, helps log service tickets into online data base. Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary. Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two way communication concerning maintenance issues. Routine building maintenance, pressure washing, painting and ground care. Carpentry and plumbing as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
A minimum of 2 years experience with minor electrical, AC, plumbing, roof, painting and wall repair required.
Must be able to list over 50 lbs, work outdoors for prolonged periods of time.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge of general equipment maintenance, basic building maintenance
Knowledge of hand / power tools
Knowledge of grounds maintenance practices, mowing, weed eating, etc.
Basic computer skills, turning on, signing in, entering data
Ability to effectively and safely operate electrical, non-electrical, and gas hand tools
Ability to interact verbally and in writing with venders, suppliers, and other staff
Ability to climb ladders, rake, shovel, push-pull, lift small equipment
Ability to work in a positive, professional manner with clients, staff and team
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must have valid FL drivers license. Must pass level II background screening and drug test.
While employed with Operation PAR, employee is eligible for a free 2 year Building Maintenance course at Pinellas Technical School.
