As our Internal Training Manager, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning by leading the development, delivery, and evaluation of comprehensive internal training programs for employees across all levels and departments. Your initial focus will be on empowering our Category Management staff with in-depth training on Category Management principles, followed by opportunities to develop and deliver training on Agile Scrum, Effective Presentations, and other crucial topics identified through needs assessments. The role offers the exciting potential to expand your impact to all OSD staff. This employee will join a team of marketing and training professionals within the Marketing, Engagement and Training unit of OSD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Needs Analysis & Design: Conduct thorough assessments to pinpoint training needs and learning gaps, and design engaging, effective training programs utilizing various methods (ILT materials, e-learning, videos, job aids).
  • Program Delivery & Management: Deliver high-quality training sessions (in-person and virtual), manage logistical aspects, and evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and feedback.
  • Technology & Innovation: Leverage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and explore cutting-edge training technologies to enhance program delivery and accessibility.
  • Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all training programs adhere to relevant regulations, including safety, health, employment laws, and accessibility standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with managers and employees across OSD to align training initiatives with business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing and delivering impactful training programs
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct needs assessments, analyze data, and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Ability to manage training logistics and materials effectively.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.

Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.*

II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*

III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*

  • Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
