What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC / Refrigeration - Building Technician position at Operations - Lower Merion School District?
Responsible for providing routine HVAC installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance service of motors, pumps, controls, compressors, primary and auxiliary heating and cooling systems, and related devices. Maintain air distribution and balance of systems with the preferred ability to work with and the understanding of DDC HVAC controls and building automation/ energy management systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent necessary
- Minimum five years’ experience in residential, commercial HVAC or Refrigeration trades
- Certification in Universal Refrigerant Recovery required
- Valid PA driver’s license
- ACT 34 and 151 clearance and FBI clearance
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with other teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside professional contacts
Salary and benefits set by LMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Hours are 6:00am-4:30pm (Tuesday-Friday)
