OCB Appointment Schedulers are responsible for:
- Answering a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment for all the OCB specialties and locations
- Working with patients to address their concerns and questions and schedule appropriately
- Obtain proper insurance information, and verify we are contracted with the insurance company
- Obtaining all necessary demographic information during the registration process and avoid delays in care
- Answer voicemails, returning calls to the patient and documenting the call outcomes
- Contacting new or existing patients to schedule appointments based on outside providers request and ensure proper documentation
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on priority
- Maintaining strict confidentialityand adheringto all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- Strong customer service skills required to be able to handle all calls in a professionally, and friendly manner
- Strong computer and typing skills required
- Call center experience preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of Epic system preferred but not required
- Working knowledge in Microsoft office preferred but not required
- Prior experience working with medical insurance preferred but not required
