We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Central Scheduling Manager to join our dynamic Ophthalmology Practice. In this role, you will oversee the scheduling department, manage high call volumes, and ensure the smooth coordination of patient scheduling and administrative services. You will also be responsible for ensuring accurate patient demographic registration, as well as having a comprehensive understanding of insurance plans, coverage, and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in scheduling, staff management, and creating an excellent service environment while supporting our physicians and team members. Additionally, this role will involve providing essential support to internal departments, outside providers, and referral sources to facilitate smooth patient care coordination.
This position is located in our Plymouth location and is Monday-Friday 8-4:30PM.

- Oversee Scheduling & Rescheduling Patients
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with appointments or rescheduling, ensuring minimal disruptions
- Administrative Support-Provide comprehensive administrative support to physicians, providers, and practice teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Provider Schedule & Template Management
- Patient Triage & Call Handling
- Patient Demographic Registration & Insurance Knowledge

- Culture & Morale-Foster a positive, collaborative team culture, emphasizing a patient-first approach and efficient scheduling practices
- Goal Setting & Department Objectives
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare management, business administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare scheduling or administrative management role, preferably in an ophthalmology or medical practice setting
- Experience with call center operations and high-volume scheduling
- Preferred experience with EPIC Cadence Scheduling system
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with insurance plans, coverage options, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to set and track performance metrics and drive team success
- Previous experience in staff hiring, training, and performance reviews is a plus
