What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice Manager position at Ophthalmology Associates?
We are a patient and family focused practice looking for a candidate who brings a strong foundation in office management, people skills, along with practical skills in areas such as daily operations involving personnel management and performance, patient throughput, provider relations, and the overall management of the practice operations with a focus to maximize provider/staff productivity.
Other responsibilities:
· Oversee all administrative and business operations within the practice, to include accounts payable/AR, bookkeeping, and ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office, essentially acting as the business leader of the office.
· Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA, OSHA, and relevant state laws.
· Ensure exceptional patient service, resolve concerns professionally, and maintain a welcoming environment that fosters patient satisfaction. Implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and quality of care.
· Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff while managing schedules, recruiting, onboarding, and providing ongoing training to maintain a cohesive and productive team.
· Manage the practice budget, monitoring revenue and expenses, oversee billing and insurance claims processing.
· Review insurance contracts and fee schedules and re-negotiate favorable terms when appropriate.
· Communicate financial and billing information and monthly reports/projections with providers on a regular basis.

Requirements:
· 5 years in a management position.
· Overall experience in the medical field 5 years.
· Previous experience in A/R, Accounts payable, Quick books, 401K, Roth & Profit Sharing, Insurance contracting, Coding, Medicare compliance etc.
· Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
