Accounts Receivable and Payable Manager

As the Accounts Receivable and Payable Manager at Opiniion, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). This includes managing invoicing, collections, customer communications, invoice processing, payments, and expense reimbursements. You will also manage a team of AR and AP professionals to ensure seamless financial operations. Additionally, you will play a critical role in enhancing and upgrading our financial processes and systems to establish a best-in-class cash flow operation. You will report directly to the VP of Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Management:

• Lead and manage the AR and AP team on a day-to-day basis to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members.

Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:

• Oversee and manage the end-to-end invoicing process for Opiniion's property management software services.
• Ensure accurate and timely generation of invoices and statements.
• Monitor AR aging reports and drive collection efforts to maintain strong cash flow.
• Work closely with clients to address billing inquiries, discrepancies, and payment-related concerns.

Accounts Payable (AP) Management:

• Manage outstanding invoices, timely payments, and vendor relationships.
• Oversee expense reimbursements and ensure compliance with company policies.

Process and Systems Improvement:

• Lead efforts to upgrade and streamline AR/AP processes and systems.
• Work closely with the VP of Finance and IT team to implement tools and strategies that optimize efficiency and accuracy across financial operations.

Financial Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial transactions within accounting and expense systems.
• Collaborate with the VP of Finance to provide insights into cash flow, outstanding receivables, and upcoming payables.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of AR and AP processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred 5 years of experience in AR/AP or accounting operations, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Experience with NetSuite, Stripe and Ramp is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
• Proven ability to upgrade and optimize processes and systems in a growing organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
