Job Description
Salary: $28 TO $35 hourly
Summary: Primary function is to Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on all production machinery. Will also be required to assist general maintenance on occasion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, and wiring.
Inspect and repair production and support equipment.
Assists in equipment modifications.
Disassemble and reassemble equipment for the purpose of rebuilding.
Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical testing devices.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical components, machinery, or equipment.
Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hand tools, or power tools.
Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
Plan and lay out repair work, using drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals or schematic diagrams.
Perform general cleaning duties of buildings and properties.
Work with Vendors when needed to acquire parts.
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, or other measuring instruments.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years Industrial Electrical Maintenance experience required (has to be industrial, cannot be residential).
Experience in Troubleshooting and PLC programming required. Prior experience providing support for facilities, buildings, and equipment maintenance.
Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to satisfactorily Pass Oppermann forklift Certification.
Must regularly lift up to 50lbs unassisted and move up to 500lbs with mechanical assistance. Must be able to adapt to temperature changes. Close, distance, color and peripheral vision required.
