What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Loan Administration Credit Specialist II position at Opportunities at Towne?
Assist with the technical and administrative tasks of the Consumer Origination platforms; Credit Monitoring; Compliance Reporting and Underwriting.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Primary Baker Hill NextGen Consumer Loan Support Contact – assistance with applications, underwrite and review compliance items.
- Strong knowledge of Consumer lending
- Ability to underwrite consumer loans and provide guidance to lenders.
- Adverse Action for Denials/Counteroffers/Withdrawals – Review and preparation/mailing of letters to members and strong understanding of HMDA.
- Monitor consumer applications to ensure compliance to Reg. B; 30-day decision deadline.
- Monitor various reporting requirements within NextGen Consumer Lending.
- Coordinating with Document Preparation area
- Equifax Administrator for ‘ePort’
- Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:
- High school graduate.
- College degree in business or compensating work experience in credit department and / or financial institution.
- Must be efficient and thorough, possess strong organizational skills, work well on your own and possess a willingness to learn and help others.
- Position requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with computers and related software (Excel, Word, Access)
- Knowledge of Compliance regulations regarding Consumer Lending
- Familiarity with Origination and Advisor platforms.
- Advanced tax return analysis experience to the tier II role.
- Banking industry experience is strongly preferred.
Desired Skills, Competencies, and Coursework:
- Ability to underwrite consumer loans with various income verifications.
- Knowledge of Consumer lending compliance regulations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees/management.
- Understanding of Regulation B, HMDA, FCRA and other lending regulations
- Knowledge of Consumer Lending
