What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Intern - Enterprise Risk Management position at Opportunities at Towne?
Essential Duties:
- Facilitate the collection and maintenance of key risk indicators and control effectiveness assessments.
- Assist in the collection and documentation of enterprise risk reporting, including top and emerging risks, audit and supervisory findings, and issues management.
- Assist in the collection and documentation of the risk rating of processes within the business process universe.
- Provide support during the development and update of risk and control self-assessments, including risk and control libraries and control effectiveness ratings.
- Assist in the quarterly collection, analysis, and reporting of identified risk events and issues.
Summer Internship Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have completed at least one year of college and currently enrolled in college
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, May 19, through early-mid August
- Highly collaborative; able to build strong working relationships with business partners.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Intellectually curious; highly analytical
- Excellent organization and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively utilize modern telecommunications tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

- Self-starter with a strong ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and research-oriented with an inquisitive and studious nature
Physical Requirements:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
