OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a dynamic Director of Stakeholder Engagement to lead the strategy, development, and implementation of stakeholder engagement opportunities. The Director will oversee the coordination of events and volunteer activities to create meaningful opportunities for constituents to learn more about United Way’s work and impact and to create positive and engaging experiences. This critical role will provide strategic direction for all planning and implementation of opportunities with internal and external partners and ensure project materials procurement, project communication, event planning, and budget oversight.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overall strategic direction of the Volunteer Engagement team and Events team to develop engagement strategies and opportunities to advance United Way’s strategic goals. Provides oversight for the planning and execution of engagement activities and communication, ensuring donor/corporate engagement/constituent engagement experience is maximized. Connects constituents to the work of United Way in a meaningful way and ensures that United Way’s brand is reflected in all engagement. Oversees the management of volunteer engagement and events budgets and fundraising for Caring Champions sponsorship effectively.
- Works with the Advancement team to cultivate relationships and opportunities for engagement projects for companies qualifying for corporate recognition. Includes presenting existing engagement opportunities, creating custom opportunities and working with the companies to execute the engagement experience.
- Works with Mission & Strategy and communicates frequently United Way affiliate agencies, grantees, and other community partners to assess the greatest needs in the community for volunteer engagement where United Way volunteers can make an impact.
- Provides support to United Way for volunteer engagement opportunities related to 211 Texas/United Way HELPLINE, disaster volunteer training and support and support for Mission & Strategy volunteer engagement. Meets frequently with internal partners to assess where United Way volunteer opportunities are needed.
- Provides other engagement support to the organization as needed. A willingness to take on additional duties to ensure the success of the team is essential. Evening and weekend work required on occasion.
Salary : $90,000 - $95,000
