What are the responsibilities and job description for the FQHC Nurse Manager position at Opportunities?
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
- Manage all aspects of FQHC site operations, including patient care, scheduling, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care, specifically:
- Oversee the day-to-day business operations and its programs and activities to ensure compliance, efficiency, and client satisfaction (e.g. evaluate client flow through the clinics, monitor wait times and no-show rates, etc.).
- Create, implement and manage a staffing plan, including determining appropriate skill and number of clinical/non-clinical staff members.
- Develop and manage the FQHC site budget, Monitor expenses and identify areas for cost savings, Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Represent the FQHC site at meetings and events.
- Address operational issues raised by medical clinic staff (e.g. nurse practitioner, nursing, physicians, employees), payors, referral sources and clients and seek out appropriate avenues for improvement.
- In conjunction with leadership, develop and implement procedures, policies and means of accountability that result in complete continuity of client care and best outcomes; ensuring that all policies and procedures are compliant with NCQA accreditation standards and State of Ohio regulations
- Lead the FQHC site through the accreditation and licensure process
- Provide support for operational reviews of clinical performance measures including program performance, productivity, client satisfaction and show rates, contract compliance, etc...
- Work with project stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather business requirements for new services and projects.
- Participate in organizational process and quality improvement. Lead the practice with a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to increase business and scope of services provided by the clinics.
- Establish, implement and maintain efficient processes for ordering and monitoring supplies and equipment.
- Effectively interface with and influence all levels of the agency and external organizations; promote appropriate communication between physicians, nursing and clinical staffs.
- Stay up to date in your field and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for training and systems.
- Lead, coach, and mentor assigned direct reports, as well as oversee and uphold performance standards and the level of accountability within the department

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field; master’s degree in business or public administration preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio
- 5 years medical practice management, where measuring and managing performance was required
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and development
- Experience in or strong understanding of FQHC operations and NCQA accreditation standards

- In-depth understanding of medical billing, coding and revenue cycle processes
- Willingness to travel to multiple practice sites on a regular basis to drive consistency and engagement
- Ability to effectively gather, organize and analyze data and present in actionable format
- Results-focused, innovative and creative problem-solver with the ability to engage commitment from others.
- Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
- Successfully meet pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment background requirements.
