Campus Server/Cook
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults who are enrolled for care at participating child care centers,
Our server/cook receives meal from delivery driver serve out meals to our children
clean kitchen and all items used in cooking area, server out meals for (breakfast, lunch, and snacks) for the children and staff of the school. Responsibilities include:
- Reports to the Foodservice Manager.
- Maintain kitchens and equipment in a clean and well-kept manner.
- Assist in menu planning and ordering for site with the Food Service Manager.
- Complies with all CACFP meal requirements, health and food safety requirements. Maintains all required kitchen paperwork.
- Has meals/snacks delivered to rooms on time. Meals/snacks are to look and taste appetizing, served at the proper temperature, and proper amounts served.
- Works with other staff and volunteers to prepare that Thanksgiving Feast.
- Completes all required paperwork and gives to Foodservice Manager when it is due.
- Refrigerator and Freezer Temperature Logs
- Keeps kitchen clean and in sanitary condition and complies with city/state Health Department regulations at all times.
- Daily Cleaning
- Clean and sanitize counters, backsplash, cabinet door handles, drawer fronts/handles.
- Clean sink
- Clean microwave inside and outside.
- All dishes/utensils washed and put away.
- Fill refillable soap and paper towels
- Bag trash and taken out to dumpster.
- Weekly Cleaning
- Refrigerator sanitized and cleaned out.
- Clean and sanitize dish drainer, tray
- Clean and sanitize trash basket
- Attend training sessions that will help maintain a high quality food program. Training sessions may be sponsored by Region 16, PECE, City of Amarillo, or other sources.
- Lift a wet mop weighing approximately 15 pounds.
- Lift 15-20 lbs
- Lift pots and pans food items and cambros weighing 20-30 pounds each.
- Be free of allergies to common household cleaners.
- Pass a T.B. test.
- The cook will practice good personal hygiene, wear a hair net or tie back hair, and wear food service gloves as needed.
- Complete all tasks within the scheduled number of hours per week allotted as approved by the Foodservice Manager.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
