ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize appropriate methods for working with individuals with intellectual or physical disabilities.
  • Assist in department orientation, team member development, and ongoing training to ensure team members are well-equipped and knowledgeable.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and supportive supervision to maintain high-performance standards and foster professional growth.
  • Ensure engagement in goal-specific activities and proper documentation of individuals' and team member's progress is being measured.
  • Ensure the operational needs of the program are met while adhering to budgetary guidelines, i.e., ensure the accuracy of individual enrollment, attendance, billing, supply ordering and management.
  • Review and monitor team member payroll for accuracy and adherence to organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular reviews of individuals' Person-Centered Plans, ID notes, quarterly reports, consent forms, and data tracking to ensure compliance with care standards and expectations.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment that supports the health and well-being of individuals served, team members, and volunteers. This includes maintaining appropriate ratios, overseeing facility upkeep, and fostering a positive and secure atmosphere.
  • Collaborate and coordinate care with other direct support professionals, including nursing and care coordination teams, to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
  • Adhere to Opportunity Village's established policies and procedures.
  • Accept and apply performance-based feedback.
  • Actively participates in community networking, public education, and individual advocacy.
  • Representing the organization at community events, resource fairs, hiring events, or disability awareness campaigns.
  • Facilitating on-site tours for community members, stakeholders, and partner organizations to showcase services, success stories, and day-to-day programming.
  • Hosting and coordinating volunteer groups, providing orientation, guidance, and context around working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Participating in Person-Centered Planning (PCP) meetings as an advocate and professional voice, collaborating with the individual's support team to ensure meaningful outcomes.

14. Participates in investigations regarding incidents of abuse, neglect, isolation, or exploitation, ensuring timely and thorough reporting. 15. Must be able to meet all requirements of OV vehicle policies and travel:

  • Between worksite locations
  • Within the community

16. Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.

17. May be assigned other duties as needed.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, team members, and supervisors (verbal and written).
  • Ability to care, respond, and work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Must possess social perceptiveness to assess and understand other's reactions and behaviors.
  • Must encompass a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to conduct tasks and successfully perform under critical deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret instructions, gain knowledge, and have initiative.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to complete all required documentation, i.e., ID Notes and Incident Reports
  • Ability to resolve multiple complex issues simultaneously while remaining calm in stressful situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable supervisory experience in the Human Services or Health Care field.

OR

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Health Care, or a related field, with at least one (1) year of verifiable supervisory experience in the Human Services or Health Care field.

  • Required: Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
  • Required: Current CPI certification within 30 days of employment
  • Required: Current CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment
  • Required: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records, and files.
