**Pay Rate: $24.00/hr**
**Position: Full-time and Part-time**

### Primary Responsibilities:
- **Surveillance**: Monitor and report any suspicious activities.
- **Access Control**: Manage entry points and ensure authorized access.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly to incidents.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
- **Observation Skills**: Vigilantly observe surroundings.
- **CPR, AED, First Aid/BLS**: Be prepared for medical emergencies.
- **Assist Case Managers**: Support resident intake and screening processes.
### Detailed Responsibilities:
#### Patrol and Presence:
- Regularly patrol the property to maintain order and establish a visible security presence.
- Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles and individuals.
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows after operations.
#### Screening and Compliance:
- Monitor surveillance cameras to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
- Investigate suspicious activity or possessions.
- Confirm residents’ compliance with rules (e.g., no weapons, aerosol containers, or excessive personal items).
- Assist residents and remind them of available resources.
#### Intake and Curfew:
- Assist Case Managers during high-traffic times (e.g., return from school or work).
- Facilitate resident intake at the main lobby entrance.
- Ensure adherence to curfew policies.
### Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must not have previously worked at or been employed by the Hope Center.
- Background in customer service is essential.
- Valid Red Card required.
- Experience as a concierge, administrative assistant, or in any service industry is a plus.
- Superb communication skills are required for this people-facing, highly interactive role.
### Emergency Response:
- Respond to alarms and assess situations.
- Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol.
- Submit daily surveillance reports.
### Staffing and Breaks:
- Provide a single Enhanced Officer per shift.
- Cover front desk/intake/screening during Case Manager meals.
- Suspend roving during meal breaks.
- Radios provided by Hope Center.
### Prerequisites:
- Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
- Proven experience in Customer Service.
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
- Familiarity with report writing.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
- Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems.
- Ability to be trained in CPR, AED, First Aid/BLS, and self-defense.
- Registered as a security officer.
- High school diploma required.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to pass OPS Security Group training requirements.
### Appearance:
- Officers shall maintain their hair in a neat, clean, and combed professional appearance.
- Beards and mustaches must be clean and neatly trimmed.
- Officer’s fingernails shall not extend more than ¼ inch from the tip of the finger or interfere in any way with the performance of duty or the safe drawing of issued equipment. Fingernail polish is allowed if it does not distract from the uniform.
