Job Summary: OPSPro specializes in providing small businesses and government contractors with compliance and operational support to include HR, Payroll, Accounting, Contracting, and IT. The Fractional Controller position is a part-time (approx. up to 10hrs/week), fully remote position reporting directly to the CEO.

  • Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assess and improve current processes and accounting methods.
  • Providing financial insights and analysis to senior management.
  • Maintain the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
  • Review and monitor accruals and prepayments for proper posting.
  • Create and post journal entries, including recurring entries.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • 10 years accounting experience
  • 2 years month-end/year-end closing experience
  • Procas experience highly preferred
  • Experience presenting financials to CEO
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Payroll experience
  • Advanced MS Excel capabilities (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
