Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care within the facility. This includes managing nursing staff, developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high quality care for residents
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate care plans and ensure resident needs are met
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to nursing care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
- Previous experience in a nursing leadership role preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing best practices and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
