Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Financial Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist with financial record-keeping, budgeting, financial reporting, and other finance-related tasks to support the overall financial health of the organization. The Financial Assistant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial data entry, helping with financial analysis, and supporting various financial operations.
Key Skills: Journal Entries, General Ledger, Deposits/Payments/Wire transfers, Insurance, general administrative duties, Microsoft Office and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Data Entry: Input financial transactions into the accounting software or spreadsheets and ensure accuracy.
Bank Reconciliation: Assist in monthly reconciliation of bank statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Invoice Management: Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals, and schedule timely payments to maintain vendor relationships.
Expense Tracking: Monitor and report on expenses, identifying areas for cost savings and providing recommendations.
Audit Assistance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Experience: 6+ years of experience in a financial or accounting role preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary : $47,800 - $52,000
