Plumbing Designer
Location : Portland, OR Area

What You’ll Do :
As the Plumbing Designer , you will play a key role in the development of plumbing systems for our clients' projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and other design professionals to create detailed plumbing layouts and designs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Revit and a solid understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and design practices.
Your key responsibilities will include :
Design and develop plumbing system layouts, including water distribution, waste, vent, and storm drainage systems, for various types of buildings.Utilize Revit to create detailed plumbing models, drawings, and schematics.Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, and structural) to ensure integrated building systems design.Prepare and review construction documents, including specifications, schematics, and design calculations.Assist with plumbing system load calculations and system performance analysis.Ensure designs adhere to local plumbing codes, building codes, and industry standards.Provide support during construction phase, including answering RFIs (Requests for Information) and reviewing submittals.Participate in project meetings and collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and budgets.Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules.Perform quality control reviews to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements.What You Need to Have :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in plumbing system design, with a strong focus on commercial and / or industrial buildings.Proficiency in Revit for plumbing design (Revit MEP experience required).In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., UPC, IPC, local building codes).Strong understanding of water distribution, waste disposal, stormwater management, and other plumbing systems.Experience in preparing construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.What’s Next?
