Position: Estimating (Quantity Takeoff)
Overview: Estimators will support our current Estimating Team in preparing and negotiating a Lump Sum estimate for the Key Bridge Rebuild Project. Responsibilities: * Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.). * Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-build projects in the infrastructure market. * Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans. * Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers/designers. * Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process. * Performing site visits and investigations as needed.
Qualifications: * Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred. * Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling, cost control, specifications, and engineering drawings. * 5 yrs of construction/engineering experience, specifically with heavy civil infrastructure projects. * Knowledge of construction methods, costs and techniques. * Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA Requirements. * Experience with CADD and 3D Modeling software preferred. * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) * Possess strong mathematical and computer skills. * Must be able to meet deadlines. * Effective oral and written communication skills * Candidates must possess a strong work ethic. * Work independently as well as part of a team. * Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. * Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies. * Must be willing to travel as the job requires REV 2025-03-04 3 of 12
