Optim Health System - Tattnall is seeking a PRN Central Sterile Processing Technician for our Reidsville, GA location. New Grads are welcome.
Job Requirements :
- Performs biological monitoring and maintains sterilization logs.
- Assembles instruments, equipment, and supplies required for surgical procedures according to physician preference card.
- Demonstrates proper way to clean, decontaminate, wrap and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Familiar with and utilizes principles of asepsis.
- Maintains supplies and restocks Central Processing area.
- Maintains proficiency in knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and AORN standards of Asepsis.
- Demonstrates competence in use of Steris Level I.
- Demonstrates competence in use of Sterrad.
- Performs routine cleaning and maintains sterility log of autoclave, Steris and Sterrad.
- Demonstrates competence in the use of both type of autoclaves and is able to trouble shoot for problems.
- Assists in reordering of implants to insure complete trays.
- Assists in staff development and quality improvement activities.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education :
Must have completed the course for a Central Sterile Processor.
