Optimae LifeServices in Waterloo/Cedar Falls is looking for part-time (with opportunity for full-time) Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) working 1:1 in the community and our customer's homes. This position does not require weekend shifts. The ideal candidate needs to be highly motivated to work alongside people with disabilities. We value a work-life balance; each month Optimae collaborates with DSPs to create their monthly schedule.

Duties:
- Utilize our customer's individualized service plans to teach daily living skills.
- Support our customer's in their living, social and learning environments.
- Support our customers in achieving personal goals of their own choice.
- Complete individual service documentation following Optimae's policy and procedure.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings and personalized monthly coaching.
- Communicate with team members.
We are looking for self-directed individuals with characteristics of compassion, respect, and problem solving skills. Flexible scheduling and no experience necessary, we will train.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Licensed driver with a dependable vehicle and automobile insurance.
- Background check required which includes Child and Dependent Adult Abuse and driving record check.
