Optimae LifeServices, Inc. in Cedar Rapids is looking for part-time (with opportunity for full-time) Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). We value a work-life balance; each month Optimae collaborates with DSP's to create their monthly schedule. Staff are able to communicate scheduling needs and can identify days off (working every other weekend is required with the ability to identify which weekends each month works best for you.) Applicants should possess a willingness and desire to work with people experiencing Mental Illness, Intellectual, and/or Developmental Disabilities. Duties include:
- Utilize our customer individualized service plan to teach daily goal.
- Support customers as the identify and build natural supports for their needs.
- Understand and maintain privacy and demonstrate respect.
- Demonstrate good role modeling for people we serve.
- Be flexible as customer needs, emotions and schedules change; this may include working evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Complete individual service documentation following Optimae's policy and procedure.
- Participate in team meetings, training and personalized monthly coaching.
- Communicate with team members.
Qualifications :
- Be at least 18 years of age .
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed driver with a dependable vehicle and automobile insurance.
Background check required which includes Child and Dependent Adult Abuse and Driving record checked.
