About the Role
We are looking for an experienced MSW with a Master's Degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Our ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in social work, preferably in a home care agency, hospital, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation center or mental health program.
Responsibilities
- Assess and reassess social and emotional factors to help clients and families cope with problems in daily living and follow medical recommendations.
- Counsel clients and families concerning the facilitation of the medical plan of treatment.
- Recognize and utilize community and family resources to assist clients in long-term plans for life in the community or to learn to live within their disability.
- Develop and maintain individualized client care progress records with accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
- Master's Degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- Licensed as a social worker in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in social work, preferably in a home care agency, hospital, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation center or mental health program.
