Description:
HVAC Refrigerant Loop design release engineer
The HVAC Release Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of the automotive HVAC compressor and A/C lines. The candidate will ensure the components meet performance objectives and will coordinate development with other functional areas such as powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university
- 3-5 years of experience in HVAC compressors and/or A/C line design/development. Other related design experience (Engine cooling, Aero-Thermal) also a plus.
- Very good knowledge about Unigraphics NX and CATIA
- Strong PC MS Office skills required. Excellent written, verbal and listening skills and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter and motivated to produce results.
- Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
- Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
- Basic thermodynamics knowledge
- Basic knowledge in Thermodynamics.
- Automotive assembly plant experience.
- HVAC system engineering knowledge.
- Previous experience as an AC line design and release engineer.
Onsite Anywhere from 3-5 times per week
